Running for Ohio’s 68th House District Representative

About Beth Lear

Beth Lear has spent her entire life as a passionate patriot fighting for this country. She is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm who was stationed at the Pentagon and was awarded the Expert Marksmanship ribbon. She is the wife of a veteran, the daughter of a Korean War soldier, the granddaughter of WWI Purple Heart recipient and a military mom of an active duty sailor. Beth has never taken our liberties for granted.

Beth has lived out her commitment to her values. In addition to being a wife and mother, her career includes a previous role as a legislative aide in the Ohio statehouse, a researcher and education policy analyst for the Buckeye Institute and an entrepreneur who started her own business reviewing and analyzing legislation.

Here are some additional areas where Beth has served her community:

Beth is also a committed Christian, serving several years as a bible study leader for middle school girls and helping in various ministries, from world missions and international students to local ministries in the inner city and close to her Delaware County home.

Olentangy was the only high-school Beth had ever attended, graduating in 1985. She then moved on to earn her International Relations degree from The Ohio State University in 1991 after taking time off for Air Force basic training and technical school.

Beth chose to return home to Delaware County in 2008 with her husband Jeff. The Lears moved into the Big Walnut School District where they still reside today. Their son Austin is now following in his parents' and grandparents' footsteps by serving in the United States Armed Forces. Their daughter Allison graduated a year early from Big Walnut High School and is headed to college.

Now, Beth would like to serve you as the State Representative for the 68th House District. She understands both the legislative process and the private sector, having worked in each. She's a local through and through from her years of 4-H, all those exhibits at the Delaware County Fair, the Olentangy High School marching band, and OSU, to Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base and the Pentagon, and home again to the Ohio Statehouse. Let Beth's Ohio values, strong Biblical faith and passionate Patriotism represent you, the voters of the 68th House Distict, in the Ohio House of Representatives.

Vote for Beth Lear in the Republican Primary on Tuesday, March 15th, 2016.
